Hey guys, I found out I got waitlisted from Middlebury a few days ago, but I've kind of been hoping for an acceptance from one of the Ivies I applied to. But since that didn't happen, I really want to get off the waitlist for Middlebury. Is there anything I can do?

Here are my stats:

SAT I: 2230 -- CR 750, Mat 790, WRT 690
SAT II: 2300 -- Maths II 790, Physics 760, English Literature 750

I'm doing CIE A Levels, from New Zealand
4.25 GPA from school counselor, cause I do courses a year in advance of my peers

Great ECs, community service, student mentor

5 excellent recommendations from teachers/employers

Heaps of certificates for high distinction from Australasia science and maths competitions, placed in top 99% on the continent.

Lived in 3 countries, originally from China, went to highschool in Nottingham England, moved to Auckland New Zealand.

Here's what I didn't tell Middlebury:

Mum's an alumini from Nottingham University, did her masters in International Business, graduated with Distinction (only 1 in her class). Could be a possible liasson for an exchange programme.

I'm also going to be part of a lecturing tour in China, organised by Syracuse University. 20 Sophomores from US colleges are going to visit banks/companies in Shanghai/Beijing/Shenzheng in June this year. My dad is one of the organisers along with a professor from Syracuse University. I'm going to be the students' guide/translator in China. This is an ongoing programme, it happens every year, so I go back every year. Possible liasson for Middlebury?

Maybe I can use these to add to the Middlebury supplement essay I turned in?

I graduated in December 2008, so I have no more grades to show Middlebury, the report I submitted was my end of year report, cause we finish half a year early in NZ.

Got accepted into Colby, which I'm thrilled about, but Middlebury would be the next step up.

One last thing, I applied for financial aid, my parents are contributing $10,000 a year only.
