Hey everyone! I recently became aware of the competitive math scene and it’s oddly alluring - I often find myself scavenging through old AIME exams in hopes of finding a problem or two that I might be able to solve (so far, I have been utterly unsuccessful). How do students usually go about preparing for competitive math exams? I’m already a senior in high school, so I don’t think I can take any of these tests, but I’d still like to improve my competitive math skills for the sake of enjoyment. I did some research online and found that AoPS offers a series of textbooks - are they worth the money, or is there a better way to go about prepping? Thanks.
AoPS (which has its own books, classes, forums, etc.) is probably the best place to go, although it is too late for you to take the AMC’s, since they take place in February.
