How to know if your FASFA was received

<p>I submitted my FASFA to 10 colleges last week (you can only send it to 10 at a time). However, I applied to more than ten colleges and now need to send it to the others. How do I know if my FASFA was received by the first colleges before I send it to the others.</p>

<p>A few colleges have financial aid information with the application status tracker, so I can see what has been received. For many, however, this not the case. So, how do I know? Do I have to call the colleges??</p>

<p>If you have received the email from fafsa that your fafsa has been processed, you can go ahead and add the new colleges. Schools don’t receive fafsa, your processed fafsa sits in a database and the schools are notified it’s there and the schools upload your fafsa when they are ready to process it.</p>

<p>That is correct. For example, I can’t do anything with the FAFSAs that are sitting in my database, because my IT guys haven’t installed my new software for 14-15 yet!</p>
