Of course, visit your local Barnes and Nobles or Borders bookstore. They should have a bunch of SAT vocabulary books. Or you could just buy a SAT practice book like Princeton Review because they also have wrod lists in them. I also recommend writing down unfamiliar words each time you encounter them and look them up. It has helped me alot.

Thanks, will do :D

sparknotes 1000 list. free and effective.

most SAT practice books have vocab lists

in addition, there are some small "books" that are dedicated to SAT vocab, that may have around 500 words

I bought some SAT vocab word flash cards at Borders. My D brought them in to school and all the kids tested each other with them.

when you study vocab, make sure to study root words because even if you cram vocab for a whole year, there's not guarrantee that you'll score perfectly on the vocab section. by knowing the roots, you don't even need to know the exact meaning of the word most of time.

dont memorize voab lists!
dont memorize greek roots/prefixes/etcc

read tons of books and whenever u dont understand a word LOOK IT UP dont be lazy ^^

count of monte cristo is a good sat voab book

I like the idea of looking up vocab words and i'll do little vocab at a time.
