helllo everyone i am new here but i love college confidential. i was very displeased with ap scores recieveing 1's on all subject materials even though i studied hard for the ap calculus AB exam. i am now nervous about the upcoming ACT. I want a high score, such as a 34-36. but i dont want another let down as ap exams. how can i prepare to get this high score? how long should i study? and what did you geniuses do to get a high score? i am a rising junior who really wants this high score! thanks!

Buy Princeton Review’s Cracking the ACT as well as the official ACT study guide. Try some practice tests.

i purchased the princeton review’s cracking yesterday and i ready 40 pages. English seems pretty easy if i memorize the rules, im incredibly nervous of science and reading although and is the official act study guide helpful? how did you do silverturtle?

36

silverturtle your my new best friend! how long did you study for that 36? was it hard? what did you use? how did you improve? :)

I’m sure that some other posters can be of more specific help to you, as I didn’t actually prepare at all because I only took the test because it is state-mandated in Illinois. :)

wow your a genius! i wish i could take it and get a perfect score without studying! is the ACT easier than the SAT?

ridwan16, I’m also taking the ACT this September (1st attempt) and shooting for a 35 or 36. I’m using the Real ACT Prep Guide (to become familiar with all of the subjects and take their 3 practice tests) and then some other books that just have practice tests. Practice tests are the most important thing, so complete a good number of tests. I mean, you have about two months, so make the most of your time. I’ve already started preparing. Good luck!

Thanks thankyou4flying! if you dont mind can i get your email so we can help each other as the date gets closer? and i will do that! right now im just reading the princeton review and getting familair then i will take the whole ACT and see how i do then improve on the subjects i need to one by one then take individual tests until my score yields the result i want. how long have you been studying and how have you done on practice tests so far?

SAT tests logic

Hey there. I am also taking the September ACT. It is my third time, and both times previous I got 34s with different subscores. The most important thing to know before doing any tests is to believe in yourself and visualize yourself doing well, and start out slow and make sure you try to simulate the testing environment on practice tests after you have learned the material.
