Obviously, I have the drive and desire to do it. I know it will be hard, and I will have to push my limits, but I am more than willing to do so. Are there any other tips you would give incoming first years who are striving for perfection in their academics??
I don’t know how IU does it, but why do you care if you get it junior vs senior year (if you manage to get it)? My kid at another college did not get it until right around graduation because she studied abroad and there were rules about the number of credits earned on campus. I don’t see that her boyfriend, who was in the earlier group, had any advantage.
@intparent it’s kind of a huge deal if you get PBK as a junior. I know it’s superfluous in the grand scheme of life, but the CC community represents a very specific demographic of overachievers IMO.
I don’t think anyone (even employers and grad schools) will be that much more impressed that it was achieved junior year. There are perfectly legit reasons (like studying abroad) why students don’t get it that year, and no one cares or even really notices. Just go and do well enough to get it ANY semester – that is a huge challenge in itself.
