How to write CV scholarship essay???

Hi all, I am working on my CV scholarship essay and I was confused on how to approach it. The scholarship description says that it looks for students who combine academic excellence with strong leadership. So, in the essay about out intended major, do we need to touch on leadership experiences along with academic ones. Are we supposed to show interest in leadership in the essay or just focus on why we want to study our intended major??? Also, do we need to explain why we want to study our intended major at Vandy?? Do they expect you to answer the intended major question as well was Why Vandy???

Any input would be much appreciated :))

I think you missed the deadline on the CV scholarship. I can’t see the due date as I already submitted mine, but I’m pretty sure it was due Dec 1.

nah, they extended to the 15th

Current CV scholar here. The essay prompt has changed since I applied four years ago, but I would focus on your academic interests and how you intend to use the scholarship in that respect. You can then build up to talk about how the scholarship can complement your other qualities (such as leadership) or passions.

I highly suggest researching the specifics of the scholarship (direct entry into the College Scholars program, honors seminars, course enrichments, study abroad and research stipends), and then try to map out how YOU are the best fit for the scholarship and why it’s a good fit for you. This will also show Vandy that you’re serious about this opportunity and have done your research.

well, I’m not applying to Arts and Sciences so I dont think I get the College Scholarship program opportunities. In any case, should I even answer “why vandy” in this essay b/c i dont think that is what it is asking
