How useful would a science or math minor be?

I'm a junior english major at UCSB and I'm also trying to get into the professional writing minor we have here.My plan once I get out of school is to get into tech writing, although I'm not 100% sure on how that will work out quite yet.

So, I'm thinking about picking up either a chemistry, physics, or mathematics minor to make myself for marketable when I get out of school. It would be quite a bit of work but I would feel better taking more than just this English degree with me into the business world.

So is a minor really worth it? Will it really help me all that much in the real world? Regardless of if I take the minor or not I'm planning on putting as many of my remaining units as I possibly can into purely science and math classes. What do you guys think?
