How will FAFSA work -- Parent just got laid off...

How do you know I have hardly any credits? I haven’t posted anything on what I have?

well, I guess you could have some AP/IB credits, but you said that you went to UCI for a quarter and have no credits from that. You said that you have some math credits from a CC. So, I may be wrong, but it doesn’t sound like you have completed the req’d CSUGE of req’d Gen Ed req’t and electives totaling 60 credits.

Students who complete the CSUGE, including the additional science laboratory requirement and the second semester of English Composition, with a GPA of 2.0, will have satisfied all lower division General Studies requirements at ASU. Students who transfer 60 credit hours of transferable coursework with an overall GPA of 3.0 or greater will be eligible for financial support in the form of an ASU Transfer Merit Grant.

But, I could be wrong…maybe you do have the 60 credits in the prescribed categories of Gen Ed and electives. :)

BTW…ASU won’t notify about transfer scholarship until summer.

*ASU is awaiting to hear the funding availability for the Fall 2010/2011 academic year. As far as academic information we will be evaluating students for looks at the completed application data. We evaluate student’s GPA, number of transfer units, certified general education breadth, residency, and academic major.

This is a recruitment/merit based program designed to assist students who meet certain criteria. Depending on the available funding we will be evaluating admitted students files over the summer to make possible awards to eligible students. *

I couldn’t have gotten into UCI without completing my 60 units…

I have my IGETC, I’m all done. I was merely taking a few courses to further my Math seeing as I will have to anyway…might as well do it at the CC to save $$

^^^

Oh…you were a transfer into UCI…Did you mention that before?
