how will having no math/science affect me?

A week into school and I realized... i have senioritis. I tried to deny it, but now I’m accepting it.

So on that note, How necessary is it for me to take a math/science course my senior year? Right now I’m in honors calculus and AP Bio and it’s killing me. Last year, I nearly failed my pre-calculus class (And by failed I mean got a C average) and since I fell behind during pre-calc, I feel that Calculus will be the death of me. I did extremely well in Honors Bio freshman year, but now I find that I can’t keep up with the work for AP Bio.

So should I just stick it out and basically fail two courses in order to have them on my transcript, or should I switch out and take more English/humanities/history classes where I’m more likely to succeed? There’s absolutely no chance that I’m going to be majoring in anything close to the math/science field or technical field, and the toughest school I’m trying to get into is probably Ithaca College.

Can I get some good advice? I’m stressed out about everything now.

Thank you!
ps; first post, but I've definitely stalked these board for the past 4 years.

I am by no means an expert, but to drop both completely does not seem like a good idea to me. Could you drop down a level, to regular Calc and maybe pick up a different Honors science?

Itaca's not that competitive. I say take regular Calculus and drop AP Bio only if you already took 3 years of science. When they see you're not majoring in maths or sciences, they'll be totally okay with that. There are plenty of people who go to schools at Ithaca's level with only Precalc under their belt.

Go on a comprehensive website (e.g. Princeton Review) and look up the schools in which you are interested. Click on "academics" and see how many years of math and science they require. The results may surprise you. I just did some research on some Texas/Oklahoma schools. One to which Princeton Review gave an academic rating of 65 (on a scale from 60-99) required 4 years of math, and one with an academic rating of 92 only requires 3. Also, some schools require not only a certain number of years of Science, but a certain number of years of Lab Science.
