I'm a senior in high school that's looking at going into engineering. If you're familiar with any of these schools, how would you describe the atmosphere and the students there?

Minnesota
Wisconsin
Illinois
Purdue
Rose-Hulman
Case Western
Ohio State
RPI
Georgia Tech
University of Washington
WUSTL

I know some of these schools pretty well from my kid’s visits, so will give it a shot.

Minnesota - big school (we did not visit); too cold!
Wisconsin - visited, liked a lot. Had a smaller school vibe than, say, Michigan; liberal student body, but other slices of Wisconsin seemed represented. If they had offered $, might have been a contender.
Illinois - did not visit as kid wanted a more urban environment. Great engineering programs though.
Purdue - same as Illinois.
Rose-Hulman - liked the school a lot, smart kids and nice campus, but ultimately too small and not-city-enough.
Case Western - where kid ended up at and likes. Good size, urban but true campus feel. Serious students (recommend Greeks for better social opptys), heavy workload, cold but bearable.
Ohio State - too big and sprawling for kid.
RPI - also liked but not city enough for kid.
Georgia Tech - would have been a good fit in urban setting but was deemed too southern. Ga Techers we’ve known have been smart but like to party.
University of Washington - no clue.
WUSTL - did not visit, but know some people who went there, all of whom are smart and rich.
