How's the social life at Harvard Extension?

How's the social life of Harvard Extension kids? I just finished my second semester at Columbia and honestly there is no way in hell I can afford another semester and another $30k in loans. I have my tuition from Sallie Mae set on monthly payments and I'm working 2 part-time jobs (one from 9pm-1am) to pay it off. It's impossible.

Soooo, I've decided to enroll at Harvard Extension. I know, you're calling me crazy. Well, I'm going to grad school anyways so it's not likely Brown would help me much after grad school takes over its name.

I just wanted to know about the social life here? I'm 20 years old, male, and very outgoing. It's hard for me to live without people to hang out/party with, especially girls haha.

I know extension kids aren't mixed with Harvard College kids, especially the dorming situation, so it's gonna be tough to seek out friends. I know at least 10% of extension students are my age...but how's the social life overall? Anyone in Extension know what the life is like? Or is it going to class full of 30 year olds, going home, studying, rinse and repeat?

If you’re at Columbia, what does Brown have to do with anything? From what I’ve heard, Harvard Extension is very much a commuter program, but if you connect with your classmates, you should be able to interact with them socially. My guess is that they will, however, have other responsibilities, which may reduce the amount of time they have for purely social activities.

brown? oh WOW…did i type brown. no i meant columbia…long day

D is a freshman and member of the ballroom dance team. There are many extension students and grad students also on the team. They all mix and party together. If you attend the Harvard extension school, finding outlets like that might help to integrate you into the undergrad population.

I don’t understand why you would go to Harvard extension vs. the best state university for whatever state you have residency.
