Well michigan in general is strong in every field u can also search up stats rankings

According to the US News ranking, Michigan is #15 in Statistics. According to the National Research Council, Michigan is #5. Either way, it is clearly a good department. But then, as Eeeee127 aptly points pit, Michigan is ranked in the top 20 nationally in every single field of study.

The new Data Science major just came out. Its Applied Statistics and Computer Science combined. They have the major both in LSA(Department of Statistics) and COE(EECS), which have the same Data Science requirements.

Life Sciences Informatics (Biology + Statistics) is also housed in the Statistics department.
