Our S was accepted at HPU but didn’t go, so we never got around to looking at the housing costs, but I know the parents of another boy from his h.s. who is going there, and they are very upset with the housing costs. It seems there is a basic room & board fee of $12,200, but this is only for the very cheapest dorms which there aren’t many of. After freshman year most students have to live in dorms where there is a surcharge of at least $3000 and up to $8800. That is crazy, even Harvard and Yale don’t charge that much.
