If you can read and speak Egyptian Arabic at a pretty rudimentary level, you should have no trouble with the Arabic competency test. They offer competency tests in over 40 languages, and Arabic is certainly among them. There is no problem with taking a competency test in your home language.

That pretty much negates all the advice above. Physics B AP still won’t do you much good in college, but there’s no reason not to take it if you are interested.

Yes, I can speak and read Arabic very well! So I’m guessing that the UChicago competency test isn’t the most difficult thing in the world? But at least now I’m relieved. All I have to do now is to confirm my schedule with my counselor

JHS: I love Physics, and I’m taking Honors right now, so I just see no point in not taking it senior year

I’m certain they have a Greek competency test. What I’m not certain is whether they have a modern Greek (as opposed to Attic) competency test. If they offer an introductory course, they will offer a competency test – you can always just take the exam, or a piece of it. So look in the course catalog to see if there are modern Greek courses offered. (Or don’t worry about it at all if you are comfortable with Attic Greek as well.)

The course catalog is your friend, kids! Most of the questions you ask are answered there. You just have to look.

Yeah Im not that familiar with Ancient Greek, its a lot different than modern…but Ill take a look at the website, and I am almost certain they offer the intro course for modern so Im guessing they offer the test as well.
Thanks!
