i am from a very small town in northern new hampshire. in my grade there are 34 kids (large class) and my entire school has 125 kids about. i am first in my class, but does that matter when my class is so small. i want to go to a highly selective school (wesleyan) does the fact my school is so small a negative, or does the fact i am from northern new hampshire help me?

Our high school is seperated, 9th grade is one school, 10th -12th is another.
Anyway, in the bigger school there are 2,000 students, in my senior class there are 630.

high school school lol (ATM machine, etc.)

i think my school is coming close to 3000 students, my senior class is around 600

You're doing the absolute best you can. Your class rank can't be 0/34. Relax...you can't change it unless you change to a bigger school.

Is the school competitive? Are you offered Honors and AP Classes?

what!?!?! only 1/34!?! thats not even in the top 2%!

kidding..its fine, but just being from NH isnt going to help you by itself

They will take a hard look at your scores to put your school's grading into context. So if you're 1/2350 they know you would do well anywhere.

I'm sure it's fine. I probably will not look as good as say 1/1000, so I'd recommend that you make sure you have good SAT scores also.

In the Netherlands a hs consists of 6 grades. My hs has around 650 students and there are 110-120 people in the class of '08 (mine).

thanks for all the help.
