Look at the active threads. I conclude yes. I remember the good semi-old days when we talked about various things and all flocked to the same fun threads for a good time

I thought I had a nonacademic thread or two on there…

I used to never reply to academic threads. Now, I don’t mind them. So I think it’s not just the posters of those threads; we’ve also become too lenient. Any “evaluate my junior year schedule” topic can get replied in the number once only seen for nonsensical threads.

Maple are you a guy or girl?

^^I normally just direct them to the appropriate forum…

^^ Male

idk, but they are all like “2010 [Insert Scholarship] Thread!” and “My High School is like this” compared the olden times

EDIT: @millancad yes. keep schedge posts in the class year thread. our high schools are all different anyway, and we have no way of knowing what the most challenging schedule is for your situation

Those threads have always existed.

there aren’t as many legitimately fun threads though. I remember I <3 CC and others were filled with lols (or I’m excessively nostalgic)

Maple, you should come back in the summer.

I should. I missed it by coming in October/November :/

random color for 21 seconds

Nah, it’s just national exam season. The preliminary rounds for the Physics, Chem, and Bio Olympiads; the AMCs; and some National (Language) Exams occur from Feb-Mar. Then there are people who have research-related deadlines coming up between Apr-July.

And as AP exams draw nearer, more and more people will be letting out their anxieties.

The problem is that most of our lives revolve around school (where else do you go to suffer for 8 hours a day?), so there’s not much else that’s of main concern during the school year blehhhh.

people never talk about school though. I always find the social life posts the most worthwhile :]

I agree, social posts are way more fun than “How does my schedule look?” or “OMG I GOT A 3.8 THIS SEMESTER, IS MY ADMISSION GOING TO BE REVOKED?”

^Lol, there was this one thread…“OMG I got only 500001 on the SAT I won’t get into Hogwarts!” The responses were about evenly split between “ I got into Hogwarts” and “You #$&, the SAT only goes up to 2400 and you shouldn’t make fun of it.”

lololol those are the CCers I am glad aren’t in HSL

And they were completely serious…

They should develop a test for a sense of irony. And it should go beyond 2400. :D

:O I want to go to hogwarts .__.

Why, it’s easy! You just need to score 10^19 on the SAT. That proves you’re magical apparently [/admissions cynicism]

whatever you do, don’t end up in Hufflepuff. It’s practically community college. Their quidditch team sucks and they have 1 person go there who ever did anything, and I’m pretty sure he died
