I’m interested in studying political science, history, or philosophy in college (currently a junior). Does Barnard have good programs for these majors? Or are there similar colleges (small, liberal arts, womens) that have better programs?
There are very few better places to study humanities than at most liberal arts colleges.
There are a number of amazing woman’s LACs out there, including Smith, Wellesley, Mount Holyoke, Scripps, Bryn Mawr, Agnes Scott, and more.
What are you looking for in a college, aside from it being a women’s college?
Hi! Currently a Wellesley student and I have not taken courses in these subjects (but I have taken art history, linguistics, comp lit, etc.) and I know that pool sci and philosophy are super popular, well-liked, and robust. I don’t know how they compare to Barnard, but they’re definitely strong (and I would be happy to talk to you about Wellesley in general too).
