Humanities

Hey all, I'm interested in Washu and I've heard a lot about the sciences, especially premed at WashU but not a lot about the humanities or social sciences. How would you rate them? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My D is a freshman at WashU who is focused on the social sciences. She has been so impressed by the professors and the courses so far. The psych, poli sci and economics departments all have a number of well known and respected faculty members. (And, they actually teach classes and care about the undergraduates!)

My son is doing the Interdisciplinary Project in the Humanities major and has been very happy with his classes and his professors so far (he's a soph.) He started in the special Text and Tradition program freshman year. Class sizes have been under 25 and attention from faculty very positive. One of his professors just hired him to help with research on a book. Nothing is always perfect at any college, but for my S, the academics --- the classes, the professors, his fellow students in class --- have been top notch.
