Beginning the daunting task of looking at universities for our son. This is scary!
First college we looked at was Humber College in Toronto. The Finance Honours (8 semeste) progamme is interesting.
Humber is referred to as a community college. Is that a negative? Its ranked pretty high - # 8 in research. Im confused.

Humber College is not a university. Community colleges in Canada are traditionally trade schools. That has evolved over the years, but high achieving academic students would not apply there.
The #8 ranking from that one source refers to the research income for colleges only. Humber’s income was $7.5 M. If the college list has been combined with the university list, Humber would not have made the top 50 in Canada. . There’s not much original research going on at Humber.
