HYPS Chances please

<p>Thought I'd give this a go. Firstly, I'm a UK student!!! Hoping to get into HYPS prefereably Stanford but would love to get into any.</p>

<p>I'm currently in year 12 (lower sixth) and am in the process of taking my ASs. My GCSE's were 9A* 3As. I'm predicted 4 As for my AS and A Levels. I'm doing Latin,Greek, History and Economics.</p>

<p>I took the SAT I I got 2330 which I was pleased with and will be taking the SAT II subject tests shortly. My school don't rank but I've been told I would be in the top 5.</p>

<p>My ECs include: Head of School next year, Head of prep School about 4 years ago, I play county rugby and may be playing West rugby soon, I also play county hockey. I am captain of the school rugby team. I'm a Colour Seargant in the CCF and am hoping to be made WO2 soon. I've done over 200 hours of Community Action work with little children in a under priveleged area. I've also appeared in numerous school plays. Plus other things I can't think of lol.</p>

<p>So what are my chances at all the Ivies, Stanford, and could anyone recommend some good safeties or other schools I should look at.</p>

<p>You souund like a good candidate. International admissions are somewhat different than US admissions, so it's hard to estimate chances. Having some ECs helps alot as most internationals don't. If your SAT II test follow your SAT trend, you should be in the running.</p>

<p>Apply to MIT too since you consider HYPS as your top choices! You are a very strong match for MIT student!</p>
