I am a current Lehigh Student. Does anyone have any questions?

Is it category G?

Number of students in line d who were awarded any non need-based scholarship or grant aid. 236

My DD got $15K merit,$40K grant, and $3k summer earnings grant, but it is still expensive for us.

I am talking about the section that details pure merit to students with no need. Number is like 97 students out of 1511 freshman

Was Merit for ED2? or ED1?

She applied for regular admission but got in early.

Is that 40K a year or over 4 years?

how long did it take them to send you an acceptance letter? I also got into CSB but it’s been just over 2 weeks and I have not recieved a physical letter.

$40k for the first year.

You mentioned the party scene - how easy is it to find things to do and people who don’t want to party if you aren’t into it? I know they advertise a lot about Lehigh After Dark but I didn’t know if that provided enough alternatives to the drinking/party scene for people who aren’t looking for that.

The Trustee’s (half tuition) and Founder’s scholarships (full tuition) are awarded but to only a small percentage. IIRC the CDS shows about 5% receive them. My son rec’d the Trustee’s this year so it definitely can happen.

Re the CSB program. How difficult is it to transfer into once admitted? My son was admitted to Rossin as a CS major. He was unfamiliar with the CSB program prior to applying and now wishes he had applied to it. The Lehigh website seems to indicate that it is possible to transfer into it if grades are good during first year.

My daughter is on the verge of committing to Lehigh. Her one hesitancy is the school lacks school spirit, akin to larger Big Ten schools. Is there a lot of energy leading up to the football and basketball games – outside of The Game? Do students even attend the games? Is there tailgating?

I would say Lehigh has pretty good school spirirt - no, we aren’t Big 10, but we make up for it. Our Le-Laf rivalry is a huge spirit week that students go crazy for, and some of our bigger wrestling, basketball, lacrosse and football games are well-attended and have some tailgating. Definitely not on the same level as, say, Rutgers, but there is still a good amount of spirit.
