Is there any possibilities to accept in waitlist?
I really want to join that conservatory …
Maybe post on the music major forum!
You could ask the department if there are people ahead of you. I have known graduate students move off wait lists (Yale and Rice) into the end of May, and others not move up, so it is important to make alternate plans.
I would think yes. Spots to study with a particular teacher in a particular discipline are so limited that conservatories cannot risk over-enrollment, and so, I believe, offer spots to those whom they want, and have a wait list. The very top students, who have the best auditions, will get accepted everywhere they apply - but they can only attend one institution, so when it comes to conservatories, even for a top institution such as NEC, they likely would have to go to the wait list.
So decide on your first choice from the acceptances that you do have, send in a deposit in time, before the deadline, and meanwhile reach out to NEC and ask where you’re ranked in the wait list. Who knows, maybe they’ll tell you, and maybe that info will give you some hope (or not).
