<p>I am very optimistic, and I really need people to help me out. I am trying to get into James Madison University and Penn State University Summer Session 2009. Do i have what it takes.</p>

<p>1510/2400- I am taking them again in October
3.72 GPA
8 Honors Classes and 1 AP
EC's- Varsity Club, Soccer, Club Soccer, Student Council (9&10), Debate Club, Graphic Design Club, Art Show 2007-2008, Girls Soccer Manager, and basketball (9)
Volunteer- SPCA and a Vickie Angel Cancer Bike Ride, also i am trying to get into the offices of Barack Obama as a student volunteer
Work- Worked at 3 places in the past 2 years 2 of which are seasonal</p>

<p>Do I have what it takes?</p>

<p>Are you in-state? That will be a help. Still, you need to bump up your SAT a bit. Several of my son's classmates are applying to JMU, and their SATs are over 1200 for just the CR and M. </p>

<p>JMU is getting more competitive. So, do the optional essay. It could set you apart from the others.</p>

<p>im a PA resident, so i think I have a good chance at PSU, as for JMU, my friend who has JMU as a "safety" school took a visit and said that even though my SAT's arent high, i would still be really competitive</p>
