I am okay?

I have a 3.96 GPA at Vanderbilt…am I okay for med school applications?

…really. 8-| Do you actually need that much veneration…

Nope. You are not okay.

The most important skill a physician needs is be able to objectively review data and have the judgment to make sound decisions based on this data.

@bud123 : Don’t address them…they are doing a not even humble brag. One important skill may also be interview skills and a person making a thread like this, I question their humility and how it would come off in interviews. That part is not okay and they need to work on it. This person likely knows the data and knows where they stand. They are pretending because they want to brag.

Bernie i agree. My point was if they can’t tell where they stand with a 3.96 in the med school application process then I don’t want them interpreting my lab results to make my diagnosis.

There are lots of things I would likely not want them to do…and let us just say, since I went to an EXTREMELY pre-med heavy school, I have seen this before, and you would be surprised to know that some folks with those types of stats struggle way more than expected (some are also silly enough to apply to only top 30 or so ranked medical schools…but I need not go there).
