I took AP Calc AB at school this past school year
and I decided to take the BC exam instead

I literally studied for the BC chapters from scratch only 4 days ahead of the exam
while crying/being depressed because of some shiz that was going down at home
and I got a 5 :D

Not bad… With some Khan Academy, a textbook and review book, natural talent–learning the more advanced integration techniques just by looking at the “formula,” and some practice, you can pick it up within a couple days.

Congratulations on your success… Maybe you should go through a few rounds of a literally head to head who can get the correct answer first competition.

I pretty much did the same thing as you but I took a week lol, my teacher said if I could get ~80/108 on a BC practice test she would let me take the test and I did and ended up getting a 5. Self-study ftw

congratulations i might think about doing that. in my school ap calc bc is kind of offered, but like 3 people choose it so they can’t make it a class. the ap calc ab teacher is the math dept. head and he can teach bc so i’ll see next year about takin ab and self-studying bc. anyways congrats for your score.

I self-studied precalc during my sophomore year and following summer. Then, since math didn’t fit into my junior year schedule, I am taking AP Calc BC online through OSU. Depending on what I get on the exam, (4 or 5) I will either take calc 3, but if I get a 3 or lower, I was thinking about retaking Calc BC, which most seniors in our school take, through my school. BTW, I want to go into engineering. Will this look bad, if i get into college.

well… since ur so good… pleeaaase tell me if i can start studyin ap from scratch on ma own! I am in the beginning of Algebra 2 now man!! I am in the middle of junior year now so… :(… ppl help me on ma thread plzzz… “start studyin ap calc as a junior??”… am so scared… This is just depressing…
