I cannot wait any longer!!!

Wow! that's an amazing essay! and your dad WORKED at ND. :) and sports are good!

my rank and ACT score are definitely lower, the only thing I sort of have in my favor is a quadruple legacy, but i heard legacy doesn't really count as much anymore.

whatever happens, happens though :)

I live in CT, my dad is now working in the admissions department at Yale (his undergrad school, he's as high up as you can get in working in the admissions, that might have some pull too?) I could've gone to Yale, but I didn't want to; Dad wrote email to schools telling them I wasn't applying to Yale so they didn't think they were just getting routine, junk apps.

Quadruple legacy!!!! That is crazy. Didn't you get that 50% admit letter? It's looking pretty good!

If I don't get in.. I will visit all the schools I've been accepted to but haven't seen (Villanova, others to come maybe). I liked Bucknell, but I really want to go some place further and ND is just a perfect fit in every, every way :(

Same, i didn't really visit all my other schools. So i'd have to look at William and Mary, Bates (if I get in), Loyola. and then I got into St. Michael's and Providence.

But Im like justbumming, ND is perfect :) I've grown up with it, so it's hard haha.

Oof, I was born in South Bend, but someone was shot in our front yard and we moved to Kentucky when I was two. Since then, I haven't been back due to such a busy schedule and such. Even if the campus was unsightly, dorms and food awful, I know I'd still be happy with the Catholic feel, the tradition, the strength of classes. You know a school is perfect when you cannot find one alum who has a negative thing to say about it.

same...

Ive always said since I was young.... " Im going to ND"... Not, " I want to go to Nd"

JB, dont worry

the campus is beautiful, the dorms solid, the food very good

Haha when I was little, i didn't really understand the concept of applying to college, I just thought you went whereever you wanted to. So i always said "I'm going to Notre Dame!"

It's kind of hard not the be that way when you have 4 generations of family in love with Notre Dame. I know I probably wouldn't be as obsessed without my family going here, and I have been brainwashed as a child, but honestly, I'm glad I did. ..

... untill I get my rejection letter haha

So AC you live in IN I suppose?

No, I live in Massachusetts :)

My entire Dad's side of the family (the nd side) lives in Michigan though =]

Oh duh, I read that in the other forum. Silly me, hope we hear back Saturday!!

I know! I'll be thinking about you! :D Ahhh. It really cannot come soon enough!

I'm probably just as nervous.. hahaha i felt compelled to post after you guys mentioned the dreams.. which I've definitely had. AC, got into PC.. my sis goes there and my bro goes to ND.. I lovee providence too and might go there if it's a no go at ND.

djharpz my friend just got waitlisted from her number one and will go to providence she thinks, it's a beautiful school!

I went to the EA accepted day at PC, and really liked it! I haven't really heard anything bad about it!

I just didn't get any money there... :(

dont know much about providence

yea. I love it. no comparison to ND though

I was there too. probably saw you. I actually got 3/4 there so.. it's looking better in my mind

i cant way to pay 50 grand a year for ND... ahha

so worth it though

I didn't apply for FA... is this actually helpful or just a myth? ND= need blind or no?

ya there need blind..... they dont even give merit scholarships so

its doesnt help or hurt
