Hey everyone. Just received confirmation that the letters were mailed yesterday, but not until late in the day. I'm not sure how this will change when we will get them, but I'm sure it will bump everyone back a day.

My daughter just received a large ND envelope. It has a plastic cover...not very attractive but due to it's size/shape I'm assuming it's an acceptance. I don't dare open it. We live in CT.

Does anyone out there know what their acceptance envelopes look like?

Good Luck jlagf.... People have described the acceptance notices as larger envelopes. Sounds as though your daughter may be having a better day than my son. He received a smaller letter type envelope stating he was "wait listed". Not sure how you kept her in school, he insisted on sneaking home to get the mail. Saying he is devastated or heartbroken would be an understatement.

Marty,
Can you put a quick list of your son's stats? I suspect I am on that borderline. That envelope will definitely turn my life's kaleidoscope! :)

YAAAYYY!!!! I have a former admissions officer working at my school now. She actually read all the applications and essays etc. She loked at my draft and was pretty impressed.

HEY Tim!! Do you know Charlie Buhler....yeah ND student....the new Miss South Dakota USA!! Go Char... oh yeah! She's from Mitchell South Dakota about 3 miles away from where I live and she offered suggestions to my essay and app. Thank YOU!

martyh, he should cheer up about being waitlisted, I just read an article about EA at Nd and they were talking just like all the school about the end of ED at HYP and believing they will take more off the waitlist this year.

I was accepted EA and the letter was in a big envelope. There was no plastic covering over it. If you slide the papers inside the window with your address you could see "congratulations" good luck RDers!
