Alright I know that there have been alot of posts for this Admissions' ID topic, but I was just wondering how I get the ID, how I use it, and when it should come. If someone would please answer these questions and just elaborate in this topic, that would be great. Thanks.

hello skyscraper :D
You should get an email from "noreply@cornell.edu" titled "Cornell University ApplicantID created" shortly after you submitted the Common App. (I submitted mine on the 19th of October and received this email on the 29th.)

The email will contain your appID and activation code. Activate your account, create a password, and then you should be able to log in through the self-service site. :)

However, the site hasn't been updating received materials at the moment (due to the massive ammount of mail they have to sort through)... But I'd give about two weeks from the day you submitted the Common App for the email to arrive; if it has been 2 weeks or more or you are simply concerned, I would email or call them.

Hope that helps!

I have a question of my own that I'm just throwing out here... (don't know if you can answer it, but even an opinion may help lol)

I took my SAT Subject Test yesterday (Nov. 3rd) and am applying ED... I'm not sure if this would be too late to get in, seeing as they send decisions out by Dec. 11th. If you could lend some insight, that would be great... I'm just curious. :/

Good luck with your apps!

honestly I'm not sure. I mean, it is past the deadline, but then again decision aren't out till mid-december.... I would send it in, but I would look at it pessimistically.

FWOSH - Call the admissions department in the college to which you applied and ask if there is anything specific you should do. At the least it will be noted in your file that there is more information on it's way.

on your commonapp application, if u put that you will be writing the sat II tests on november, they will know. and take into consideration your scores.
