I Didn't Know Where to Post this Question...

Hey everyone, I'm going into high school next year and I'm really interested in music. I'm not asking about being a music major in college, (way far away...) but I have some questions about music programs for high schoolers.

Do you know of any good countertenor voice teachers in Boston?

What do you know about the New England Conservatory Prep School? How good is it for voice/composition/theory?

What are the scholarships/financial aid like at the New England Conservatory Prep School? I couldn't afford the full tuition.

What's Longy's program for high school kids like?

How does it compare to Longy's program for high schoolers?

Are there any other programs like the NEC program in Boston?

Thanks for the responses.

i have PMed you.

The NEC prep program is excellent. Some students come from other states to attend. My D is in the jazz program (voice) but she had a friend in the classical voice program who graduated last year and is currently attending Eastman. We’ve had good support going through the college application process including prescreen recordings, college workshop, etc. D’s private voice teacher from NEC even went with her to audition at Berklee and accompanied her on piano.

Thanks for the responses. I’m going to talk to the people at NEC on Tuesday, and I’m going to try to arrange a meeting with Longy around that time.
