Thats what im saying. Most of my other classes people come in 15, 30 or even 45 minutes late sometimes for an exam and still get to take it. I guess its just a policy this specific professor does. I emailed her and she said that it was her policy not to give make ups or extra credit. I guess I'll just stay in that class and see what my grade is before the withdrawl date. It is my fault though, I should of studied instead of staying up all night and falling asleep at 7am.

Does the professor make known this "policy" on her syllabus or during the first few classes? It seems that they should share their philosophies and be up front about it, and not wait until it's important to divulge that they're very strict. Seems very unfair to me if this is the first you've heard about her "policy."

A professor can set whatever standard or expectation they choose for their class - as long as it is administered fairly and evenly - there is usually no way to get around it - without acceptable excuses - or prior agreement with the prof.

This info is most likely somewhere in the course outline/sylabus or was explained at some point to all students - ya may want to take a look. During a test - the prof has the right to not admit students who are late - it can be disruptive to the others in the class. Profs have the right to expect their students will be prompt - for those that care anyways - cuz some don't I realize that. Apparently this one does hold a high standard for the students in the classes they are responsible for.

Gonna have to chaulk it up as lesson learned - and you won't do it again I bet. Sorry!
