I am a very indecisive person. After a lot of thought, I decided to transfer from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa to Washington State University. I am the decision due to financial reasons, WSU being extremely more affordable, but now I think I made the wrong decision. I leave in a week to go home for the summer, and I’m struggling with the fact that I won’t be returning next year, won’t see my friends, won’t be part of my clubs, etc.
I don’t know if I made the right choice, and I know “only time can tell”, but I don’t exactly have a ton of time.
If you have any advice that could help me, I would appreciate it.
Tell yourself it’s completely normal to feel a bit unsure and even scared. You are going someplace new and starting over. Remind yourself of all the good reasons for this transfer. Remind yourself of how much better of you will be financially in 2 years after you graduate than you would be without the transfer. Try really hard to look at the new opportunities at your new school, rather than in the rear view mirror at your old school.
