I have the pdf copy IT’S BETTER!! lol jk

I got credit of $1360.25.
So that’s for three quarters to spend?..
That’s not a lot…not at all. Any idea if the credit is just an estimate?

I’m pretty sure your credit is pretty close to what you will be getting.

That money is for the the quarter.

no its for quarter. What Cal Grant u guys get A or B

B. :0

I believe that means our tuition will be covered next year right?

So… we just have to worry about paying for housing?

well the fees include housing but what we have to worry is the cash for books plus I think that the credit is whats left over from gift aid. Since I did the math and I should have 900 left after the fees and refunds

I’m not talking about this year. xD

This year we get 1551 vs other people who have Cal Grant A get like… 7000 or something. but next year the gov is supposed to pay for our tuition (about 9000(?) AND give us 1551 “to spend”)

dont quote me on numbers, I’m too lazy to search for the real figures.

But, yes, the credit I’m getting is from my loans, actually. I took out more than I needed.

next year we get the full cal grant plus a bit more for the ACG grant as the years go by we get more fin aid than loans cause we are less likely to drop out

So if $1360.25 is the refund for one quarter, do we get a refund every quarter…? I’m not sure about this.

Also, if the housing cost is $3075 for me, is that divided between my two other roommates or is that the amount I pay…? I’m leaning towards the division between the other roommates, right?

No. It’s the amount you pay. =( I know, I think it’s a rip off toooooo.

Yes, you will get a refund every quarter. I took out $4.5k in loans. I really did not need to take it out. I just did it incase. And… because I did not REALLY need it to pay for college, I will get to refunded to me. And then… I have to try not to spend it.

All your money… whether it’s GRANT or LOANS will be given to you in thirds, so you will get part of it every quarter.

wow eminent how much fin aid you get

It lists as $16,000 something, but it’s really screwed up, so I don’t really know. I added up the Financial Aid under Student Activity and got $7778, but under financial aid award, it said like $16,000 something.

Having $1360.25 to spend a quarter is not much… is it??

dude that 453 a month I have to live in a budget of 310 a month

Eminent, I got very confused reading your last post. LOL.

Remember part of your leftover money goes to books. If it was a refund from your loans, remember you have to pay back what you spend… which is my case.

$1360 to spend (although you should be thinking of saving instead haha) in like 3 months is a lot to me. lol. :[

I’m not sure how this works,

I got 22661 including loans, and my tuition/fees/housing adds up to 20200

I"m assuming I may spend about 400 dollars a quarter on textbooks, so that’s another 1200

so I have 1261 dollars left throughout the year

but 1360 every quarter? that’s a lot of surplus…

I"m guessing mine is lower because I’m planning to get Flex Max.

is 1261 dollars cushiony enough?

I guess but what i am confused is the credit including loans and aid or just aid

Jason2009- It’s only $15 a day compared to $10 a day. I don’t think I can live on $15 a day, unless I stock up on ramen! Forgot to take consideration into buying books. So it’s not even $15 a day.

Jenuwin01- I know!! I’m confused myself. I’m going to call in and straighten things out.

Definitely need to call Financial Aid Department.

well with flex max food won’t be much of a problem for me

We’re allowed to use the money for what else?

personal entertainment and transportation right…

not sure

I received both Federal Direct and Federal Direct Unsubsidized Stafford Loans.
On my Growl it says that I need to do pre-loan counseling, i’ve already done the Federal Direct Stafford, but have not for the unsubsidized one.

I can’t seem to find the page for the unsubsidized page… or since I finished the Federal Direct I don’t need to finish the unsubsidized one?

max is for laundry, and other stuff
