I don't understand the bill for tuition. Does this mean I still need to pay more??

ESTIMATED FINANCIAL AID
09-14-09 80005 PELL GRANT 1,784.00
09-14-09 80008 ACG Grant 1 250.00
09-14-09 80071 UCR GRANT 3,268.00

CURRENTLY DUE
$0.00

OUTSTANDING BALANCE
$1,414.75

STUDENT AID ON HOLD
80014 FEDERAL PERKINS LOAN 334.00
80250 FED DIRECT STAFFORD LOAN 1,163.00

Why is my student aid on hold?? Is the amount on my balance what I need to pay?
Does this mean I have to pay more money??

You have to fill in the promissary note on Rweb and My.UCR to tell uncle Obama that you are paying him back

Then… what is

OUTSTANDING BALANCE $600 <credit></credit>

I’m actually assuming that is a refund to me. My finaid was about $7000, and my tuition is about $6400… and so it would make sense that $600 is a refund to me. But outstanding balance also means “MONEY YOU OWE” so … o.o?

yeah I got 143 as credit yeah I have a surplus

Okay… that’s good. So… did anyone get charged for insurance even though you got a waiver? :[

That’s $211 going to something I did not need in the first place. :|

Some aid is paid out later than others (for instance all my daughter’s aid and scholarships have already been credited to her account except her SMART grant, which I think requires a check on the classes she has signed up for, and her State grant that does not pay till after the add/drop period).

Have you done your online counseling and master promissory note for your loans. If so you should check with your school why they are hold.

what credit r u guys talking about? I didn’t get any credits. so does the outstanding balance mean I owe that much money?

If you don’t have credit next to outstanding balance, that is how much you owe.

If you have <credit> next to the outstanding balance, that’s how much you will be reimbursed, I think.</credit>

If the gift aid was more than tuition you got the leftover back. It seems you didnt get enough gift aid so you need the loans to pay the fees

oh ya now I understand! I only got 5,302 gift aid for the fall quarter…so I have to pull out some loans to pay for it. :/

but you havent filled out the paper work u have 2 days left for the govt loans

yes I did…somehow…I have holds on federal perkins loan and the stafford loan. Are these the government loans u are referring to?

“oh ya now I understand! I only got 5,302 gift aid for the fall quarter…so I have to pull out some loans to pay for it. :/”

ha I beat u by 13 bucks(random taunt)

yeah about the loans
