wait…after reading all these posts i’m still a little confused
how do you know whether the <credit> is from your loans or your gift?
I added my total ‘bills’ (i.e. rec center, housing, etc) and then i subtracted that from the loans/grants i got but it came out to be like +$64 which supposedly means i didn’t get enough loans/grants…but…i have $400 in <credits></credits></credit>

If you have credit, that means they took everything they needed from your finaid and will be refunding the extra.

It doesn’t matter whether credit is from your loans or your gift… either way, you will be charged interest for your loans unless you’re paying it back immediately.

oh, i guess i’ll have to talk with the financial advisor unless someone knows how to return the money back

ur suppose to live on that money silly

Jaesango:
I mentioned this a few posts back: BOTH your gift aid and loans are seen together as TOTAL financial aid. This total amount of financial aid will be used to pay off fees/tuition/housing/etc. The point is, you have loans and you still have to pay them back. You don’t get to pick what type of aid goes where because it doesn’t matter.

After all fees/tuition/whatever is paid and you have leftover money from total financial aid, you will get some money back at the beginning of each quarter. What you do with this is completely up to you – some people advise saving it or paying off loan interest.

Nah they take the excess financial aid from everyone every year so that they can create funds to build a temple to the Orange Juice God

^hahhahahha

Well, i don’t exactly need it since my parents gave me money

the ucr orange juice is BOMB though
