I, Fafsa

I'm doing my Fafsa and Css forms with no help from my parents as they're limitted in english and I believe I understand some of the questions (thru asking friends, googling, staring)...but, there is also a downside. Because I'm doing it without parental/professional help, I'm not 100% sure about Everything. What if, some facts I've stated are not backed up by the tax return records? I know it can either place me at a disadavantage in financial aid, but if it does benefit me in FA, would there be some ramifications to that?

Also, I have a question on the CSS form
50 f and g.
What is the difference between adjustments to income and adjusted gross income.
If I'm correct, the agi is the amount my mom makes in a year after accumulated interests, rceived alimony, etc and then deductions (minus g).
I think "Adjustments to income" is if my mom paid alimony or charity, but my mom doesn't so it's "0"?

This is what owuld have gone on my CSS form if it hadn't been for some differing belief i had with someone else. Thanks for any replies in advance.

The reported income should be listed as close to the actual as possible. You will be asked to forward copies of income tax returns later in the spring to the colleges financial aid offices to support what you reported on the FAFSA. Perhaps your parents can supply you with the completed forms from 2003 to make it easier for you.

They did supply me a completed 2003 tax return from, but the reference numbers on the css form does not correlate. But i figured it out.
So, am i correct in my assumption of the adjusted and adjustments to income? Thanks.
