I don't know... you'd have to really screw up to get below a 2.0 over here, which is failing. That means not showing up to class, not doing homework, etc. I even did an experiment in middle school when it was okay to fail classes and I tried to fail on purpose. But just going to class and not doing work gave me a min of a D. But of course, that's just middle school.

Were you committed to other events or activities? Or maybe you had too much going on at once. You can always retake it, but if you just didn't like the class, then don't major in accounting.

I just didn't like the class, I was pledging this semester, but in all honesty, I was doing worse in the class before then. I had pulled it up to a 68%, but then I did very poorly on the final, and failed. I'm thinking of changing my major to Econ, I like it better and I do better.

I can't believe the people who are suggesting that a single F in a major class is reason to get out of the major. Sure it should make you think about the circumstances and why you got it, however there are many circumstances in which you could fail a major class but still excel overall.

Sometimes classes are just plain tough. There can also be a lot of variation in the same class between semesters -whether it be different teacher, different material, etc. I have found this out on various occasions.
