i studied really hard every time, but my scores are so low, i was really expecting 800 on math the 3rd time :(

my best score is 1880 (2nd time I took it)

all my friends got 2100+ and they told me to take it again
should i take the SAT for the 4th time(december)?
is that too many times? any negative effects of taking 4 times?
with an 1880 i feel like giving up on college, what should i do

if you can really boost your score up for about 100 or 200. then you should retake it anyways. it might hurt you a little bit, but i think the benefit is greater than the harm

You got a freaking 1300. and since you can add up your scores from a differnet test you actually got a 1920 If you wanted to go to an IVY league or something like that then your screwed but if you wanted to get into a decent College then your absolutely fine. Just go to Princeton Review.com and check the list of the 361 BEST Colleges. you could get into WELL over half of those easily.

My best Score was a 1270 and an overall 1890
so you actually did better then me, and I'm eagerly looking forward to going to College. You could easily get into your Best State School.

like for me I will probably go to Penn State. And that's a US. News top 50 school I believe. Plus the States schools get all of that funding so you might get more resources and stuff. I don't know what school exactally you were looking at but you shouldn't feel so bad.

Like I posted on another thread. My SAT score of 1270 was probably the best score in My entire 140 person Seinor Class. So my school is either really Stupid or your school is really competative.

AND Don't take them again in December. THAT is STUPID. just concentrate on you College Applications. That is more important. Plus you probably wouldn't improve that much anyways. and if you did it would only probably be by like 30 points AND I don't think a 1330 is going to impress that much more then a 1300.

A 1300 is a VERY good Score. As I said you should just shut up and start trying to right a Kick A$$ Essay for you college applications. A good essay would probably do better then 40 more points on you SAT.

A 1300 """boo hoo hooooo,, I'm so depressed""""" after you said that I wanted to slap you or something.

Chill Out. You'll probably make it into some very good schools and every thing will work out. I mean didn't you watch the Apprentice Last Season. with the Non-College Graduates.

What state do you live in?? I bet there's tons of Highly Respected Schools that would Accept you.

i live in california, and still u guys have convinced me wheter to take it or not? its the 4th time? should i take it? will colleges look down on me because im taking it so many times?? help me plz, i really want to go to UC Berkeley or Washington St Louis. what should i do????????

Obviously, you need to change your approach to studying for the SAT if you want new scores. I'd suggest focusing on writing skills and vocabulary to boost your verbal and writing scores as much as possible. Your math score is probably simply due to careless mistakes, which, unfortunately, are extremely hard to correct during the test.

wat approch? ive taken every practice i can, i finished all 11 priceton practice tests, the entire SAT blue book, all the barrons, even the Kaplan, wat more do u want me to do?? this SAT crap is gona blow up my dreams of going to a respectable college, might as well give up on school right now
