Uhm, I don’t remember because I know I didn’t get the scores I wanted and didn’t look at the scores again. Haha. I find out my ACT score on Sunday, I felt very confident on it but I’m not sure. I really do need some relaxation. It gets so bad. I can’t eat because all my food tastes so gross. Apples taste like sour candy, orange juice tastes like spoiled orange or something… Pancakes taste burnt, cereal tastes spoiled, and breakfast sandwiches taste fake :P. So I never eat. Then after the test, I get soo hungry.

^That is why I think a higher GPA and lower SAT is better than a higher SAT and lower GPA. You may know the stuff, but you obviously do not try. I’ve also heard that men do better on the SAT than women, but women do better at college than men.

It has to do with the gray and white matter in the brain. Men have more white matter, which correlates with math and science. Women have more gray matter, which correlates with literature (if I remember correctly). Also, it’s been proven that if women take the SAT apart from men, their score increases. It has to do with sex uhmmm I forgot the word.

^ I didn’t get 2400 but still I found that the CR section was ENTIRELY analytical which in terms of your psychology book would mean that those with a T rather than an F in the M-B personality types are more suited to the task. I always thought that males were more T than F so I googled the breakdown of personality type by gender.

EVERY catagory with a T in it has more males as a percentage than females. I have no biological evidence for this but the psychology seems to be pretty strongly in favor of this.

SAT really is more about how well you are at taking the SAT. Yes, the smarter you are the higher the score you’ll get, but just because you get a 2400 doesn’t mean you’re smarter than the person who gets the 2300.

Well you have those kids who slave away with note cards, take SAT classes, have numerous practice tests (I have kids like that at my school, they’re not the brightest people), and do decently, as opposed to people who get consistently higher grades in actual class and score lower.

Also, women get a higher SAT writing score than men usually do. Yet, men do better on math and the CR is usually equal in percentage on who does better. I’m using this information to correlate with white and gray matter.

Though, with the research about this subject, I tend to not follow it. I’m a woman, and I always get higher math and science scores opposed to writing and reading. My writing scores have, though, increased dramatically. However, I think the research is with the vast majority of people.

A lot of people on this board are really annoying… why are so many of you trying to back up the validity of the SAT as a measure of intelligence? Are you missing something in your life and need to make yourself feel better? Probably all a bunch of typical nerds… would hate to be living your fun lives.

The test is ABOUT 10% measurement of intelligence and 90% measurement of your determination and persistence in terms of preparing for it, which isn’t to bad of a measurement save the awful waste of time it takes to study for it
