i got into ucsc!

my first acceptance letter....sure feels good. Too bad all the other schools wait so long to notify us. The wait continues, but atleast the safety net is out!

Congrats man, that is a very nice campus and location.

it just feels good to have a safety net, a plan d if you will. its like playing with the houses money... i cant lose!ahaha

CC, congradulations! May I ask what your GPA and major are?

CC, did you get an actual letter by mail or did you find out through their website on the net?

nice congrants...

congrats, glad ur hard work paid off

i have a 3.13, histroy major. I found out on the internet. Thanks a lot guys... it feels good.

Good Job!
Congrats!

dude you dont even care about UCSC! lol. congrats anyways brotha'. I got in too
( 3.6 phil major). All i can say is I hope we arent rommies man! Did anyone get their UCSC letters yet?!?! I found out online.

it would be weird if you two turned out to be roommates
HAHAHAHAHA

UCSC...lol. They accept transfer students who have 2.0 GPA's. This is also true for UCR. Basically, anyone who did not get accepted into the other UC campuses will probably end up marticulating at either UCSC or UCR. Anyways, congrats on anyone who found out their admissions early. Did not want to sound too harsh but that is the truth.

mosharma: conduct your trolling elsewhere...

thanks for sharing guys. Hearing u guys get admitted and ur excitment makes me excited too that soon enough it will happen to me.

I applied last year with acompleted course pattern and a 3.7 to santa cruz and was not offered admission. I reapplied through the gauranteed GATE program and was admitted. The average transfer student gpa was 3.29 last year and it has now raised significantly. This year the acceptance rate for transfers was in the 50th percentile, which is a big change. And SB Davis and Irvine ALL accept transfers with 2.0 gpa's as well, so quit with the trolling. I am in a gauranteed program to SB too. Besides what do you care about this, since you turned down both berkeley and stanford LOL...if anyone is not familiar with his trolling lies check out some of his other posts. He was called out on a lie and tried to cover it by saying that he turned down both stanford and berkeley because they didnt offer him full ride scholarships. Anyone else familiar with mosh's bull ****??? hilarious...

UCSC requires atleast a 2.4 for transfer admission and 3.0 for GATE. A 3.0 isnt an easy gpa to have, give them some credit Mo. Stop being a dumbass.

maj, chill out. if you also lack reading skills, i feel sorry for you. re-read my previous post and then comment. If it is hard, let me phrase a comment in which i actually do give credit to ppl who got into UCSC.

" Anyways, congrats on anyone who found out their admissions early" (posted previously).

What the **** are you talking about. Maybe you should reread your own post. a 2.0 isnt going to get you into UCSC and not everyone considers UCSC to be their last choice. Have youever considered its location? If you have to choose between Irvine/SB and UCSC and you live in norcal, most people would choose to go to UCSC simply because its a closer campus.

ucsc is my last choice, but it's still an accomplishment. Look-- ucsc notifies it's students march 1st so this is my first acceptance letter EVER! it's a big thing for me... i worked hard to get out of my cc in 2 years, (most kids take 3-4-- it took you 3 years... so you couldnt do it!) i'm proud... and if i dont get in to any other school then i'll proudly go to ucsc. I dont think you're even transfering... you're probably a community college drop out. Dont rain on other peoples' parade.

finally cc, you say something positive:). still hope we arent roomies jk. Dude, I asked some people about stanford giving full rides and they said they dont exist. They might not really know but they seemed confident. I am sure you saved a ton of money in the course of a year. LOL cc, yeah he is probably some sad loser with nothing better to do than ruin other peoples excitement. Besides mush, cc wasnt boasting, he was just excited he got in. I asked my girlfriend at berkeley about reapplying after you reject an initial offer and she said she would suprised if they gave you another chance. She said that there is no way in hell that they would waste a spot on someone who they know is liable not to even take the offer. I have heard this before too. It makes perfect sense to me. You are either a liar, or really dumb for screwing up your shot at two great universities. No one asked for your trollish opinions anyways.
