I guess the journy is on hold

So I have been wait-listed. Why?

Apparently my SATs are too qualified for Prep-school…

Apparently my district and state is really hard to compete in… (Bergen County, NJ)

And I just wasnt good enough for FF I guess…

So what do I do now? I am going to wait for that phone call saying that the principle said no and I can go now. ^^ And if that doesnt work out, I can apply again on July 13 and Ill make sure to be #1. I have practically a full ride to Syracuse University (only pay 3 thousand a year) and I havent really talked to the AFROTC yet but I guess I gotta start that soon. And hopefully my second time around will be the best time. =)

I’d just like to finish by saying that it was really awesome to meet new people throughout the whole process. Especially Airforce16 and Roleo. You guys were always there and I thank you all so much. Congratulations on getting in and honestly I have the highest respect for everyone who got in. Im going for round two and hopefully not =D but Ill definately make sure to find you guys and say Hi I guess.

Sincerely Chris Choe,

Cant stop, wont stop, never gonna stop. ^^

Very well put bud, you always have a group here to help you along the way...
Dont ever give up, and you can do whatever it takes to get there, use this time to reflect and on July 13th, hit the ground running like no other...;)

Always there for ya bud, each and every one of us...
Good luck with whatever it is that you decide to do... :)

I know a guy at Navy who got his appointment a week before their indoc day. So, don't give up hope by ANY means. Many decline and the waitlisters suddenly become appointees. The chances are still high, don't distress! Good luck!

Actually, FF is a double edge sword...I know you believe that it is a catchall, but it really isn't.

I know through your posts that the AFA was your desire, but don't give up yet.

Let me give you a personal example...DS has decided that he is going the ROTC route...it was his personal decision that the AFA was not a good fit for him. To be honest Bullet and I knew many months ago, DS has never checked the mailbox or on-line (that is a huge clue), but he watched the mailbox for his Univ.

There are also going to be applicants who will chose the USNA or USMA over USAFA
which will open a slot for you!

Don't give up on this dream, unless the letter said it is over!

Ahh, patience. That's the rub! You may still make it!

Best of luck in your future!

But if you don't make it, you still have a great attitude that is going to take you far in life, no matter what. Tough situation to be from a competitive district. I sincerely hope you get your appointment, but if not, it just means that there are better things out there for you right now. :) Good luck!
