I have a question: LSU vs SMU

<p>I was helping my friend researching colleges.
I looked at the USNWR graduate rankings (many says that undergrad and grad are almost equivalent), and I was surprised that LSU is head and shoulder above SMU. LSU is a "flagship" state school, and SMU is a private school with prestige (but not that prestige) in general (regardless of rankings). Even though I learned that there are many factors that determine good engineering programs, I would like to know which one is really better.</p>

<p>(I am not asking for myself. I am not interested in engineering, and I am interested in business. Please help my friend.)</p>

<p>A private school doesnt mean its better than a public university. LSU isnt just about football, they have some really great programs if people would give them a chance.</p>
