Columbia? Harvard? Neither are aerospace powerhouses, both are long shot admits and both are very expensive.
I’d definitely add Cal Poly to your list. They don’t have doctoral programs so they get overlooked when just looking at rankings. Aviation week has named them the top aerospace program more than once. The have a stand alone aerospace department with concentrations in either aeronautics or astronautics. Their facilities are top notch with over 80 labs in the college of engineering alone. Unlike the UCs, tuition is affordable, even out of state. The total COA OOS is roughly $36k per year. It’s in a beautiful location with nearly perfect weather.
Do you have any safety schools? Everything you listed, and most of the ones mentioned here, including Cal Poly are very competitive.
