I have an AD regionals tomorrow and...

We usually do well. For indiv. tests, I'm not sure how some of my other friends do, (first comp. yesterday for me) but I got mostly 400's without studying (I'm an alternate). I may study for states, just to see the difference. A bunch of teammates got medals for indiv. events. We got 2nd in super quiz at our regionals and 5th overall.

Wait you guys got 5th and you get to go to states?? In California you have to get 1st to go to states.

We had a practice last weekend. Our district competition isn't until the end of January.

I got 4300/7000 on the 7 objective tests, and I haven't really started studying yet. I was pleasantly surprised by my 829 on the math. Unfortunately LAUSD is the most competitive district in the nation. Last year was the first time since 2003 a school from here didn't win the national championship. The individual champion last year scored over 9000.

Wow....I feel so inferior, lol. I only got a 2320 without studying. And isn't California where it started?

Not true. It depends on the district. 8 schools from LAUSD went last year, though it's usually 10. My teacher is hoping for 15 this year so that we could have a shot.

Well I did it last year too, so I remember a lot of the general stuff. Also, my best subject was math, and that's not something you have to specifically study for.

If you want a humbling experience, try going into the Science Bowl without studying. My team had to face El Camino Real last year, and they completely destroyed us. Then when it was over their team made sure we all shook hands and said, "good game." It was sad.

Yeah I scored 4670/7000 at my scrimmage and I'm in varsity. My highest was an 840 in Social Science and lowest was 520 in Language/Lit. I would be really happy if I could get an 829 in math (I got 570).

I was "on the team" last year but every competition something else came up, so I didn't compete. :(

ouch. And yea, I've had those completely humbling moments in other clubs before too, lol. Wow, yea, I'm probably gonna study so I can see how well I do when I study.
