Dartmouth's acceptance rate is 13.2%. Just fixing your facts.

Maybe that is the reason you got rejected from Cornell, not researching and knowing enough about the school as to assert that it is not a member of Ivy league.

I was talking about Tufts there..... Actually, I think Cornell and Tufts are fantastic schools, they're just not for me. I just realized that with Cornell, certain things just weren't for me (e.g. the very stressed environment, taking four hours to get to from NYC, large classes, etc.) as opposed to Tufts.

And yeah, I did realize that I didn't research enough about Cornell to know whether or not I would like it. I was really happy when I got my rejection letter knowing that somebody else would have gotten my spot.

Oh, and when I said that Tufts was the wannabe Ivy, I was just repeating what I've seen a lot of people say (more so, the supposed "wannabe Ivy.") I still think it's a great school (I'd much prefer it to Cornell), the only thing that bothered me is that it would have many more A-type personalities than I would like, over which I prefer Dartmouth's relaxed atmosphere.

Bump! 10 characters

I think Dartmouth hates my high school. No one got in this year, even people going to Harvard/Stanford/Amherst/Northwestern/Notre Dame.

I still think Dartmouth is the best Ivy, though. And Cornell is the worst. At least, that is, if you value happiness as well as intellectual fulfillment (I think I'm lighting a fire here...).

Congrats to everyone who got in. 'Twas a tough year.

Ok without going in to this so much, Cornell students are very happy, and Cornell can be a very intellectual environment (if that is what you want). If you don't want that, than Cornell can be a great fit for you also. That's what's beautiful about Cornell. And Dartmouth hates my school too, for the record.

Dartmouth> Cornell any day.

Coolman123 and Pizzagirl are Cornell ALumni's who go on a crusade throughout these forums to assert Cornell's greatness. So its egalitarian...how is an 18% acceptance rate egalitarian. It educates future lawyers, doctors and businessmen and of course the other Ivies don't? day.

Pizzagirl is not a Cornell alum. She attended Northwestern and Wharton.

And you're an ignorant high school kid who can't even put a proper sentence together Bescraze.

I'm not a Cornell alum either. And I certainly do not go around asserting Cornell's greatness. But if I come across a misconception about Cornell, I like to correct it. That's all.

Just to clarify, I attended Northwestern undergrad and then Kellogg at the grad level. I turned down Wharton for Northwestern, but still have a lot of heart for Penn in general. I have no personal connections to Cornell.

BTW, Bescraze, just a simple search of my posts would have easily revealed my NU affiliation.

I see Bescraze is keeping silent.

^ Because he got owned.
