I have major in mind, but should i go undeclared?

i want to major in business, but i heard that it's better to go undeclared in order to increase your chances. i was at a college visit thing with boston university and i heard their business program is extremely competitive with only 50 getting admitted. so if i were to go undeclared how can i change my major if i were to get into a certain college? and are they any suggestions of what field of business i should pursue? i was thinking of accounting.

Generally your intended major won’t affect your admissions chances. The difference being if you have to apply to a certain undergraduate school within the university. So like if you were to apply to UPenn, then you would have a better chance of getting into the College of Arts and Sciences than into Wharton

Yeah, I don’t think you can beat the system that way. Wouldn’t it be just as hard to transfer into the business program once you get in the school? I don’t know much about that, but that’s what I would think.
