I Have NO Idea where to begin my college search!

I'm probably starting later than I should, because I have no earthly clue where I want to go. Would you mind giving me a few ideas?

Electiveswise (not a word), I've stayed in band and spanish since freshman year; however, next year, I won't be able to do AP Spanish due to a constricted schedule plan (Calc III/IV Concurrent takes up 2 hours of the day). I play saxophone and really like being in band, and have chosen to stay in that instead (4th Chair Wind Ensemble- Not fantastic but not sucky). My extracurriculars are considerably weaker; I've dropped some clubs this year to have time to do both band (afterschool practices nearly every day in fall) and all of the homework from my AP classes (crazy!). I've held leadership positions in both the Junior High and High School Multicultural Club (Jr High 9-VP, 10-Treasurer, 11- VP), which seems like a piece of cake, but we have a purposefully lazy sponsor who does nothing except sign papers. I compete on school Academic and Scholastic Teams (they are in fact separate). No Sports either. :|

So I'm neither well-rounded nor have a passion. :\
And I'm asian, which probably is a disadvantage. Or an advantage. Maybe it won't affect anything... I don't know.

ACT- 32 (a screwup on my part; didn't finish reading section :()
(SAT January)
Due to Weighted GPA and insane All-AP kids, 10th in class of 700.

I don't know where to go, who will accept me, what to major in, or what to become. Somebody Help Me!

start off by asking yourself what you would want to do.

Well, you get straight A's so you can probably go to atleast a somewhat pretigious college. And for finding one, I would suggest using the search engine at collegeboard that might helpt you get a rough idea of colleges to look at.

To JCampbell's sensible advice I would add 'what do you like in a location and what aspects do you believe you probably wouldn't like?'

Warm climate
4 season climate
urban
small town/rural

3000 or less students
big state university (8000 or more)
strict core curriculum
minimal core curriculum
near home
far from home

etc. etc...

Most of the Oklahoma Universities offer very good merit aid to NMFs (full ride+). If you don't mind very large schools those are very viable options for you. Some good programs are available through them.

Since I gather that you're in Oklahoma, take a look at a real gem in your own backyard; U of Tulsa. Fine academics, surprisingly arts-y town, Division I sports and an attractive campus to boot.

I'll start with UCSD, a very fine and fairly reachable school for person with your record (I believe) and add your dream schools.

Some LACs:

Grinnell
Davidson
Colgate
Bates
Colby
Hamilton
Macalester
Trinity
Lafayette
Oberlin
Holy Cross

Just some schools with a mix of characteristics....once you figure out what you want from your education. it's just a starting point.
