I have to pick a senior quote by next week

Here's what I'm thinking:

Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear - not absence of fear.-Twain

It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.-Twain (I really like this, but I''m afraid it may be too caustic?)

There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.-Einstein

"We must be the change we wish to see in the world." -Gandhi. (I know alot of people use it, but I go to a small school, and I havent seen anyone in the last 2 years use it.)

I like the Einstein quote.

i agree, the einstein one is good.

life's a garden, dig it

Twain is sweet use anything written by him. If you back down on any of those quotes, you can never go wrong with Vince Lombardi or Yogi Berra.

I wanted to quote Hitler. The quote was, "How fortunate for leaders that men do not think." I thought it was a perfect quote in reference to the Iraq War and the Bush Administration. However, a zealous jewess at our school (she is famous for professiong judaism in EVERYTHING to the extreme) worked in yearbook and complained so I was made to change it. I asked if they could simply leave his name off of the quote but they refused. I was told that I was being anti-semetic. However, I am a semite...so I didn't understand that argument completely.

I had to settle with John Keats, "Beauty is truth, truth beauty--that is all ye know on earth and all ye need to know."

personally i would go with jd salinger, the catcher in the rye:

"Game, my ass. Some game. If you get on the side where all the hot-shots are, then it's a game, all right - I'll admit that. But if you get on the other side, where there aren't any hot-shots, then what's a game about it? Nothing. No game."

I'm between Twain and Gandhi now.

how about this one:
"Life is a camera, you have to use the negatives to develop"

@Sirwatson1:

I think that is an excellent quote by Adolf Hitler (not disregarding the fact what he did). But gasp.. it would hopefully make people -think-.. if they could get past the author.. Maybe you should've just put "Anonymous"

My friend used the another Adolf Hitler quote just because it sounds like a typical, inspirational senior quote and at the end it's like, WHAT?? My quote went something like, "party at my house- 8 p.m."
