"I Intend to Participate While In College"

Does this mean that we intend to participate in that "sort" of activity in college? Versus that exact club (like if I'm in engineering club, I intend to do robotics in college, but I can't do the exact same club because it's only at our school).

I recently submitted my common app and took that part as meaning “I plan on participating in this in some form.” For example, I did research last summer but i know i wont be able to do that specific research internship again (its actually only for the summer going into senior year), but i still put “I plan to participate” because i do plan to do undergraduate research.

Its up to you of course, but i would rather put too much info than not enough  and im sure they know you wont be able to do that specific club in college.

Probably the same sort of activity. A lot of mine do not exist in college, but they’re looking more for if you want to continue in that area of extracurricular involvement.

I agree with the above posts. If you did robotics in HS, you can join your college team. But it would be silly to be in college and on your HS team…Good Luck!
