I know a lot of people who want to see this...

http://www.act.org/news/data/06/pdf/National2006.pdf

There, finally, somebody found this. Scroll down to page 12. It lists the number of people scoring each score for the 2006 ACT test. YAY!!!

You don't need to say thank you, btw. :)

Haha that's not comforting when I'm aiming for a 30something

haha 1 person got a 1 in math, i hope that person didnt answer any questions or else he/she is retarded.

haha that poor person

A few states require juniors to take the ACT, so it was probably one of those kids just filling in whatever bubbles that pleased him. You'd seriously have to try to get a score that low.

they also could've just answered just one question and take a nap for the rest of the hour :P

Wow. That is really great information. The benchmarks were neat to see, too.

216 36's.

Sucks for the people that got jipped out of the 36.

I got jipped out of a 35, lol.

I got 35 in 3 sections, and 31 on science (my best section) because the fire alarm went off during it. I lost my concentration. Yeeeeeaaaargh (Howard Dean scream).

Don't feel bad. June's science section was significantly more brutal than any I'd seen before, so I had a 34-34-32-27. Check if you'll be able to super score the ACT - all my reaches super score it, so I get to take my 34 from February's science to make a 34 :D
Wish they would have had a geographical breakdown, that would have been interesting to check out which Midwestern state is the dumbest (is there a smartest? ;)).

Iowa is the dumbest state, hands down :P

You can tell that by looking at National Merit Finalist cutoffs.

Haha no. Alabama takes the cake. Unless you were just talking about Midwest. Followed by the crappy ass public school system in Florida... I feel bad for the kids in most of the high schools here.

I though the sci was easy on June. I got 36.

O the science makes me sick. I have no idea why I struggle so much in it; I received the chemistry and biology awards and have always loved science, but for some reason, I will receive a 36, 34, 35, and (most recently in science) a 30. what is the deal? any tips that I am overlooking???????

ps. those other 3 scores are my reading, english, and math consecutively.

Hawaii has some pretty horrible schools..

The science section is essentially another reading comprehension section. You need very minimal knowledge about science to do well. However, the section relies on your ability to infer knowledge based upon data, graphs and charts... I also love science, but my lowest subsection score (32) was in science. I dunno the science sections weird in my opinion.

true true... but what's crazy is that i had perfect in reading but my lowest in science. ha. who knows? maybe i'll get LUCKY> cause I have a feeling that's what it's going to take lol

The Science just has a wicked curve. You can miss 2 and be down to a 32. You also have to work faster than you're comfortable in that section.

Does anyone know these people that got say, below a 12 on the ACT? I would hope those aren't normally-abled students, as that would be a bad sign for society.

I know a kid who got a 13; he is absolutely hilarious. He is the wittiest person I know. I was surprised that he got a 13. Some kids are obvious mess-ups, but most, you really can't tell.
